<p>One of two clamping plates, fixing a hinge piece in position between them, has both ends mounted on bearing elements on both sides, so as to be adjustable at right angles to the plane of the plate, in a hinge joint structure for steel cases for doors. The bearing elements consist of two interfacing fixing sidewalls (9,13) of a housing unit (10), open on one side, which also provides protection from mortar. At each end there is a guide-pin (12) on one sidewall and a nut (9) on the other, for a screw unit, connected with a clamping plate (1,2), and accommodating the pin which slides on its other end. A plastics socket can be incorporated in the screw unit. This allows sufficient adjustment for use with door wings with butt or rebated fittings, and is easily mounted.</p> |
