<p>A solar heat collector for air consists of a casing with a transparent front wall and an insulated rear wall, through which the air is circulated. A heat collector element, made of a permeable, radiation absorbent material, such as a fibre mat lies in the path for the air. Its side facing the such carries a radiation trap, such as a honeycomb structure of transparent material. This combination of porous collector plate with transparent radiation trap has improved thermal efficiency. The solar heat collector is easy to mount and economic to mfr.</p> |
