The connection fitting may be arranged in a channel in a wall and has the form of a connection pipe (1a, 1b) which is provided with an internal thread, can be connected to the water line pipe and can be fastened in the channel in the wall by an elbow piece (2a, 2b) at one end and can be connected to the sanitary unit at the other end. In order to avoid the transmission of noise, a sound-insulating installation piece (7) is arranged in the channel in the wall. This installation piece consists of synthetic rigid foam and has essentially the general shape of a cuboid and comprises at least two parts (8, 9) which can nest one inside the other and have inner recesses (10, 11, 12, 13, 14) which surround the connection fitting with a form fit. <IMAGE>
