PURPOSE:To remove the adverse effect of reflecting waves in a speaker cabinet, by fitting an air damper plate at the back of a speaker unit. CONSTITUTION:When an input signal is applied to a speaker 3, acoustic waves are produced at the back of speaker 3 through the oscillation of corn paper of the speaker 3. A speaker chamber 4 is formed due to the presence of an air damper plate 1, and the waves flow to a sound absorbing chamber 5 with air damping for low frequency component due to narrow chamber 4. Even if the absorption of sound at the sound absorbing chamber 5, the acoustic waves flow higher to lower acoustic pressure. It is impossible for the inverse flow from lower to higher pressure. Thus, the acoustic waves flowing to the chamber 5 do not inversely flow to the speaker chamber 4. Thus, the adverse effect of the acoustic waves at the back of the speaker can effectively be removed and the distortion of the playback tone can be reduced remarkably. |
