PURPOSE:To make checking of faults of an electronic balance possible with an inexpensive mechanism by using two display devices for the electronic balance, and performing comparison of display data with themselves, segment data with themselves and between both. CONSTITUTION:Two display parts are used for the electronic balance, and the segment data corresponding to respective display data are fetched by a pair of decoders, the outputs are displayed and are compared with each other. For example, in the case of processing the weight signal obtained in a balance part 43 with an AD converter 40, and further making operations relating to tare weights and pricess with a CPU31 and auxiliary devices, and displaying the results thereof with two display devices 5 and 6 by way of a display device controller, if the segment data and the like of the display device are again fetched by way of the above-mentioned controller and are compared and judged by the CPU, the fault checking of the display devices and the arithmetic part is made possible by the relatively simple mechanism of merely using one unit of the CPU. |
