NON-DRIPPING FLAME-RETARDANT POLYURETHANE COMPOSITIONS

This invention relates to flame-retarded crosslinked elastomer compositions obtained from an elastomeric polyurethane prepolymer; an organic fire-retardant additive containing chlorine and/or bromine; a compound of antimony, and a hexaalkoxymethyl melamine. These new compositions are self-extinguishing as well as non-dripping. These flame-retardant compositions find use in the manufacture of conveyor belting and hose.
