PURPOSE:To obtain a fermentating reactor having a wide applicability by connecting units having a maximum diameter at its middle in such a way as to gradually reduce diameters toward upper and lower sides vertically and horizontally. CONSTITUTION:Units whose diameter is maximum 1 at the middle and gradually reduced at the upper and lower sides, having openings 2-4 at the upper and lower ends and openings 5-8 at the left and right sides, are superposed on each other vertically and horizontally. And, a gas dispersing plate 9 is provided to the open end 2 of the lowermost part, and a gas exhaust port 12 is provided at the uppermost part. Liquid with particles from a liquid supply port 11 are stirred by bubbles, whereupon coalesced large bubbles are discharged upwards and small bubbles flow down in inversed flows, whereby causing a circulating flow inside the units. Thus, the contact between liquid and vapor is increased and thereby the absorption of vapor in liquid is accelerated by such a three-phase fluid layer which serves as a fermenting reactor having good efficiency. |
