Ball-point pen cartridges have at their writing tip a rotatably mounted writing ball (12) which is connected via a connection tube to a widened storage space (10) which contains the writing fluid. In the case of large-capacity cartridges, a silicone plug (14) is provided in the rear end of the storage space (10), which silicone plug follows the meniscus of the writing fluid during use. The outer end (16) of the tube is closed off by a closure plug (18). This closure plug (18) has an air passage (20) which is sealed by a pin (22) during storage and transport. This pin (22) has to be removed, i.e. broken off, for use so that the air passage (20) is free and the cartridge can be used. <IMAGE> |
