The clutch control device for a machine tool comprises a horizontal shaft (1) rotatably mounted in a frame in the form of a machine tool bed (2). The shaft (1) consists of two rigidly interconnected parts (a, b). A collar (3) is fixed to one end of the shaft and carries a detent consisting of a ball (5), a spring (6) and a handle (7). A vertical shaft (10) is mounted i bearings (8, 9) in the bed (2). It is connected to a movable member (11) of a clutch (12) which can be shifted in the longitudinal direction of a driving shaft (13). The clutch (12) consists of two parts (14, 15) mounted on shaft (13) at opposite sides of the movable member (11).
