PURPOSE:To perform compensation for temperature on the output of an image sensor by a method wherein the output signal value of a dummy part is subtracted from the output signal value of a photoelectric converting part using dummy cells. CONSTITUTION:Heat rays radiated from an object to be measured temperature thereof are received with the plural photoelectric converting elements (SI cells) 6 through an optical system, generated electric charges are transmitted alternately in order by analog shift registers 7, 8, and are taken out from an output terminal 9 as a series of analog pulses, and the output signals being the amplitudes of the analog pulses thereof proportional to temperature at respective parts are obtained. When the signal charges are to be transmitted, the plural dummy cells are provided to regulate timing. The outputs of the dummy cells are generated by circumferential temperature and by temperature of generated heat in the photoelectric converting elements themselves, and the true value can be obtained by subtracting the output of the dummy cells from the pulse output of the image sensor. The dummy cells may be formed by shielding a part of the photoelectric converting elements. |
