<p>Sprayable compsns. for coating mine galleries comprises 70-90 pts. wt. plaster contg. 0-1% CaCO3, 30-10 pts. wt. aminoplast resin, and sufficient water for spray-coating the wall of the gallery. The compsn. may contain a hardener, esp. a mixt. of (a) a hardener of 10% acid type active salinity and (b) a hardener of 3% acid type active salinity and 6% basic type active salinity. The resin is a urea formaldehyde or melamine formaldehyde. The compsn. may also contain glass fibres. The compsns. are used for protection and consolidation of gallery walls, the strength and solidity of which are suspect due to the nature of the terrain. They protect the walls against changes due to atmospheric conditions, water infiltration, etc. The compsns. are also suitable for protecting works of art.</p> |
