The control of two single functions and a simultaneous function on an agricultural tractor is obtained by the use of two control levers (10a,13a) which are linked (32) in such a way that their forward/backward movement is independent but their lateral movement is linked. Each lever (10a) is pivoted in a ball joint (12) and has brackets attached to it (23,24), one in the longitudinal direction (23) and the other laterally (24). A universal joint (27,28) links each of the brackets to a control rod (29,30) and is positioned so it lies on the line of the axis about which the lever pivots, so that longitudinal motion of the lever operates the control rod coupled to the longitudinal bracket (23) but does not affect the other control rod. Universal joints (33,34) connect each lever to the link (32) between them so that longitudinal motion of one lever gives negligible deflection of the other, but lateral motion of either gives corresponding lateral motion in the other. |
