Thermoplastic tube reinforced - by omega-shaped external ribs with specified parameters

Tube of thermpolastic material, esp. rigid PVC or polyethylene, is reinforced by radial peripheral ribs, produced by folding the periphery to an omega shape. The roots of the ribs are twice the wall thickness T and the outside beads are at least four times T. The outer diameter of the tubes is 80 to 160 and the height of the ribs is 5 to 10 times the wall thickness T. The width of the ribs is 6 to 12-times T and three to eight ribs are arranged per metre run. Such a tube uses a min. of material for a max. of rigidity. The tube can be produced at low cost and has a high functional reliability.
