<p>The water used to regenerate the ion exchanger is used to cool the walls of the washing chamber, causing water vapour created by the drying process to condense on the chamber walls, from where it can be drained off. During washing incoming water flows through a valve (5) and passes through the ion exchanger (3) which gives soft water for the washing process. During the drying cycle incoming water is diverted through a valve (8) and coupled to a heat exchanger (11) attached to the wall of the washing chamber (2). The water passes through the heat exchanger and flows through a salt container (4) to regenerate the ion exchanger (3). The heat exchanger has a serpentine shape and is situated between the fresh water inlet of the salt container (4) and the latter or alternatively between the supply tank and the salt container.</p> |
