PURPOSE:To estimate the remaining solvent amount after printing without performing printing by measuring the amount of solvent adsorption. CONSTITUTION:A constant amount of an org. solvent D is fed into a hermetic space B in which air is circulated by a pump P, so that it is thoroughly gasified. After a constant gas concn. is obtained, films A of a constant size are left standing for a constant time in a manner that their surfaces to be absorbed with the solvent contact the gaseous atmosphere. The films A having been exposed to the constant gaseous concn. atmosphere for a prescribed time in this way are removed, and the amounts of the solvent adsorbed on the films A are measured, whereby the remaining solvent amounts in the films after printing are estimated. If this is carried out in a solvent atmosphere of 100-10,000ppm, the results of good accuracy is obtained. Films of cellophane or plastic films of polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, etc. and these films coated with vinyl chloride type resins, vinylidene chloride type resins are adaptable for the films. |
