MANUFACTURE OF ELECTRODE FOR LEAD BATTERY

PURPOSE:To prevent the dropping of active subsistance by pressing a water absorbing paper to be sticked on a paste coated layer by means of a roller having the convex/concave on the surface under moist state thus clinging the paper fiber to the paste layer. CONSTITUTION:When leading onto a cloth belt 9, a water adsorbing paper 11 is fed from a roller 10 to the lower face of a stripe-shaped sheet 7 of lead or lead alloy developed in mesh, then carried with the cloth belt 9 while underlying said sheet 11 and the pasts is filled in the developed portion of said sheet 7 by means of a paste filling device 12. A water absorbing paper 14 fed from a roller 13 is sticked on the upper face of said paste coated layer by a roller 15. Here the paper 14 becomes moist state by absorbing the water in the paste then it is pressed against the paste layer by means of a roller 16 having the convex/concave on the surface to cling the paper fiber to the surface of the paste layer.
