PURPOSE:To reduce electric power consumption when a VTR with a high-speed searching function is in normal running mode, by switching a voltage, supplied to the driving circuit of a direct drive capstan motor, according to running modes. CONSTITUTION:A control terminal 11 is applied with a high-level signal in normal running mode or a low-level signal in high-speed search mode, and the signals turn on and off a transistor 14 to vary a voltage at a supply voltage terminal 10 according to voltage values of Zener diodes 12 and 13. Consequently, electric power consumed by a capstan driving circuit in normal running mode is made less than that when the voltage at a DC voltage input terminal 9 is normally supplied to the capstan driving circuit. |
