PURPOSE:To give a medium a shifting force in the lateral direction when driving a medium, so that the medium is always extended in either the forward or the reverse direction, by forming an inclined notch or an air gap part on the outside circumferential part of an elastic roller for feeding a sheetlike input/output medium. CONSTITUTION:A lot of inclined notches 7 are provided on the outside circumferential part 6 of a roller 5 for feeding a sheetlike input/output medium 1 along a reference guide 4, and the roller 5 is installed to a roller shaft 10. This roller 5 is made to press-contact with the medium 1, and the press-contact part is deformed in the inclined direction of the notches 7 by reaction force (a) in the normal direction from the medium 1, so that the medium 1 is energized in the direction as indicated with an arrow (b) by said deformation. This roller 5 is made a foamed roller 8 by a foamed body, and an air gap part is formed by bubbles 9 of the foamed body itself. Subsequently, a moving force in the lateral direction is given to the medium 1 by the notches 7 which have been inclined or air gap parts by bubbles 9, so that it can be always extended in either the forward or reverse direction. |
