<p>The cardboard box with a shallow rectangular top (1') which is fitted over a rectangular base (1) having similar proportions, is designed for assembly by machines. Both parts are made of corrugated cardboard, and the corrugations of the top pref. have smaller proportions than those of the base. The longitudinal size of the top is slightly greater than that of the bottom within limits to permit use of common assembly members for the machines used. The two ends (4') of the top are divided by a vertical central slot (6) from top to bottom, and along its top panel (2') is a central fold line (7') from end to end, in line with these two end slots.</p> |
