PURPOSE:To ensure an assured recording of the necessary positioning information, by performing a recording for each region of the servo information and address information that form a positioning region of a disk pack via a servo head of each of an external recording device and a disk device. CONSTITUTION:The servo information of a pattern of try bit or the like is recorded by a servo head of an external recording device and with every track of servo information regions 18 and 19. Based on these information, the address information of try bit pattern or the like is recorded in an address information region 20 with a shift of a half-track width by a servo head 11 which is incorporated into a disk device covering over the odd and even tracks. In such system, the necessary information is recorded assuredly in the regions 18, 19 and 20 that form a positioning region to ensure an assured positioning with no malfunction and based on the positioning information. |
