<p>PURPOSE:To carry out assembly work automatically and efficiently by holding the first and the second parts with the first and the second jigs, and inserting them from the opening of a car body door and from the upper side of the engine room respectively to move to the dashboard side. CONSTITUTION:A pedal bracket (a) and a brake booster (b) are held at grip devices 14 and 23 of the first and the second assembly jigs 12 and 13, a movable frame 8 is moved in the lateral direction on condition that the first movable arm 10 is retreated, the first assembly jig 12 is inserted to a car room Wb from a door opening Wd of a car body W, and the movable frame 8 is moved in the longitudinal direction to set the first part (a) at a dashboard Wa. Then, the first movable arm 10 is swayed to the inserting position to position on an engine room Wc, the second movable arm 11 is swayed to the hanging position, and the second assembly jig 13 is moved longitudinally to set the second part (b) to the dashboard Wa and to fasten together with a nut runner 15.
