The set of units comprises construction bases (3) which are provided at least in their corner areas with push-in sleeves (19) which adjoin the inside of the angled edges (12) which run at right angles to the base surface (14). The internal cross-section of these sleeves (19) corresponds to the external cross-sectional dimensions of the corner posts (2) so that the ends of the posts can slot into the sleeves. These sleeves pref. comprise tubular sections welded at least to the angled edges (12) of the bases (3). Only two different structural elements are now required to make up any type and size of storage unit so that the transport and storage of these knock-down elements is much easier.
