PURPOSE:To prevent the flickering by constituting green luminous elements on a fluorescent screen of a color picture tube with a double layer of copper-activated zinc-cadmium sulfide phosphor material film and of silver-activated zinc sulfide film. CONSTITUTION:Green luminous phosphor materials 2, 3, a red luminous phosphor material 4, and blue luminous phosphor material 5 are formed on a panel 1, and an aluminum film 6 is formed on it. A green luminous phosphor elements is constituted with a double layer of a green luminous copper-activated zinc-cadmium phosphor material (ZnCd)S:Cu film 2 and of a silver-activated zinc sulfide ZnS:Ag film 3, and green luminous manganess-arsenic-activated zinc silicate ZnSiO4:MnAs is mixed in both films. Thus, the phosphor afterglow time of the green luminous element is prolonged to reduce the flickering because of a prolonged afterglow time of (ZnCd)S:Cu of 400msec. |
