PURPOSE:The titled ink, prepared by dispersing a specific polyester resin containing metallic salt groups of sulfonic acid and a pigment in a mixed medium of water with an organic compound, having improved adhesiveness to polyester films and metal resistance without using a primer. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous printing ink prepared by dispersing (A) a polyester resin, consisting of (A) a dicarboxylic acid component consisting of (i) 2-20mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid containing a metallic salt group of a sulfonic acid, e.g. preferably 5-sodium sulfoisophthalate, 98-50mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid containing no metallic salt group of sulfonc acid and 0-30mol% 4-36C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and (ii) a glycol component consisting of 20-100mol% 2-8C aliphatic glycol and 80-0mol% ethylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A, and preferably having a softening point of 100-200 deg.C and a molecular weight of 5,000- 20,000 and (B) a pigment in (C) a mixed medium of water with a water-compatible organic compound, preferably isopropanol. |
