The installed conduit (1) e.g. a concrete or asbestos cement sewer pipe often develops cracks and fissures (2) due to aging, ground movement or the passage of heavy vehicles. A fibre reinforced resin lining (3) is introduced in a flat form by unrolling it progressively over a roller (4) pulled through the conduit by a wire (5). - The lining is then inflated and the internal pressure maintained while the resin is cured. The lining material is forced into the fissures and forms a homogeneous composite conduit when fully cured.
