The invention relates to an arrangement related to a load- carrying vehicle for transporting wood such as wood pulp, timber or similar. The load-carrying vehicle has at least two load carriers united with each other, in the form of cross members 6d, 6e and 6f, which are arranged to be displaceable as a united unit along the chassis 3 of the vehicle by means of a piston-cylinder mechanism 8 acting between the chassis of the vehicle and the cross members. The piston rod 16 of said mechanism is connected to the chassis of the vehicle while the cylinder 17 of the mechanism is connected to each and any of the cross members 6d, 6e and 6f while forming a unitary means connecting these with each other. <IMAGE> |
