PURPOSE:To make a complete editing connection free from absence and overlapping of data and existence of errors in data, by performing a recording mode changeover during editing and a changeover connection of information data at different points without influencing the information data. CONSTITUTION:A tape recording pattern with IBGs(Inter-Block Gap) is used for electronic editing. A signal recorded on a tape 1 is reproduced by a precedent reproducing head 2 and, after amplification, shaping, etc., and demodulation, jitter absorption, error correction, etc., at a reproduction block 4, is sent to a switch 7 at an editor side to select a signal to be recorded additionally. An IBG signal detected in the signal reproduced by the precedent reproducing head is also supplied to a delay memory 5, etc., for timing matching as well as the said signal, so that it is coincident in timing at a recording head 3. |
