PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength and the hydrophilic property of an electrode pole with a terminal, by inserting a molded core member made of a material having a smaller specific gravity than a lead alloy in forming the electrode pole, and providing a resin coat on the terminal base of the electrode pole. CONSTITUTION:A core member 6 which is made of a material having a smaller specific gravity than a lead alloy and is molded into a reverse T shape, is inserted in a cast used for molding an electrode pole having a terminal, before a molten lead alloy is poured in the cast, thereby a unified consisting of an electrode pole part 7, and a terminal part 2 consisting of a taperlike terminal 3 and a terminal base 5 having a projection 4 being formed. Thus formed unified body, next, is inserted in a metal mold used for molding a resin, and a thermoplastic resin or the like is injected in this mold, thereby a resin coat 8 being formed on the terminal base 5. By the means mentioned above, the mechanical strength of an electrode pole 1 with a terminal can be sufficiently preserved by using a small amount of the lead alloy. Besides, the hydrophilic property of the pole 1 can be easily secured by the resin coat 8. |
