PURPOSE:To smoothly control an inverter for driving a motor at a low speed operating time by compensating the influence of a primary resistance drop, improving the controllability at the low speed operating time and thus compensating the influence of the primary resistance drop. CONSTITUTION:After a commercial power source is rectified by a rectifier 1, it is smoothed by a smoothing condenser 2, and is in turn applied to a PWM inverter 3. The inverter 3 controls it as prescribed and supplies an AC power to an induction motor 4. When the inverter 3 is controlled, it is vector controlled, and is controlled by the excitation current component and torque current component. A carrier signal (triangular wave) from an oscillator 22 is compared by a comparator 23, the gate turn-off thyristor of the inverter 3 is controlled ON or OFF in accordance with the PWM signal as the output signal from the comparator so that the output of the inverter is proportional to the voltage instruction signal. |
