PURPOSE:To display hour, minute and second by use of one display surface, by doubling two TN type liquid crystal display panels, analog-displaying minute and second by one panel, and digital-displaying hour by the other panel. CONSTITUTION:The first TN type liquid crystal display panel having a matrix electrode structure of 60 pieces X 60 pieces is doubled with the second TN type liquid crystal display panel having a matrix electrode structure of 16 pieces X 16 pieces, and are placed between a pair of polarization plates. A unit of hour is digital-displayed by the second TN type liquid crystal display panel, and minute (29min) and second (30sec) are displayed by a display line in the direction of Y axis of the first TN type liquid crystal display panel, and a display point in the direction of X axis, respectively. In case when the hour display has been superposed on the minute and second displays, the hour display is reversed so that it can be discriminated. |
