PURPOSE:To easily detect the separation of mixed fluids by installing a float having suitable specific gravity in the bottom part of a tank. CONSTITUTION:A float 5 which is heavier than the specific gravity of mixed fluids and has specific gravity smaller than the specific gravity of fluid of the lower specific gravity, that is, alcohol, is installed on the bottom plate 4 of a fuel tank 1. While mixed fluids are thoroughly mixed, the float 5 is sunk and a switch 8 is open, but when gasoline and alcohol separate upon lapse of time, the alcohol accumulates on the bottom part of the tank, and the float 5 moves upward. The elastic plate S1 of a switch S secured to a switch holding member 6 is deformed by the ascending force of the float 5 and brought into contact with an elastic plate S2, thereby closing the switch S. Then, a vane 8 is rotated by an electric motor 7, and stirs the fluids and therefore both fluids are mixed, the float 5 sinks and the switch S opens. |
