PURPOSE:To prevent the thermal displacement of the machine tool by a method wherein the temperature of working oil and lubricating oil used in the machine tool are controlled with the temperature of a metal pice thermally similar to the machine tool as a basis. CONSTITUTION:The oil within an oil tank 2, in which working oil or lubricating oil is drawn, is supplied to the machine tool to be circulated by means of a hydrulic unit 3. The temperature of the oil within the oil tank 2 is controlled by a heating and cooling unit which is also controlled by a temperature controller 6. Near the machine tool 1 is attached the metal piece, the ratio of the product of thermal trasmission and surface area to the product of cubic volume, specific gravity and specific heat of which is same as that of the machine tool 1. Accordingly the controller measures the temperature within the oil tank 2 on the basis of the temperature of the metal piece 5 to control the heating and cooling unit. As a result, by keeping the temperature of the oil within the oil tank 2 at the predetermined temperature, the temperature of the machine tool 1 can follow the atmospheric temperature. |
