PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of hardware of an index register and the number of steps of instructions by providing one or several index registers whose values are changed at each sampling time and modifying an address value on a basis of values of index registers and the order of a digital filter for processing. CONSTITUTION:An address signal S1 is modified in a modifying circuit 2 by a value S2 of an index register 3 and an order S3 of the digital filter for processing, and a modified address signal S4 is outputted from the modifying circuit 2 to a selector 1. A delay variable stored in a random access memory 5 is transferred to an arithmetic unit or a register through a data bus 6 in accordance with the address which a random access memory pointer 4 sets. For example, the remainder obtained by dividing the sum of the value of the index register 3 and the address signal S1 by the order S3 of the digital filter is outputted as a modified address signal S4 to the selector 1.
