A corner cabinet (1) has a door (2) on its front side, which door can slide over the width of the corner cabinet (1). When the door (2) is closed, there is next to the door (2) a free surface (3) against which a further piece of furniture (4) can be placed. Provided on the door (2) is a vertically extending corner panel (9) which points towards the added piece of furniture (4). When the door (2) is closed, this corner panel (9) is an extension of the adjacent front wall (5) of the piece of furniture (4). The gap between the corner cabinet (1) and the added piece of furniture (4) is thus closed. <IMAGE>
