An anti-skid surface comprising a hardenable mixture of a polymerisable material and sand is applied to e.g. a road surface by projecting fragments of the mixture in an evenly distributed manner over the surface. The hardenable mixture is pref. made up of an epoxide resin of bisphenol A diglycidyl ether and a hardener containing a blend of diethylene triamine and bisphenol A. The material is pref. applied from a reservoir having holes in its floor which travels on wheels over the road surface.
