<p>A bearing for a rotating body, esp. in a balancing machine, provides rigid support w.r.t. the machine bed for the rotating body in the radial plane for all directions. This is achieved using two support springs (8, 7), whilst retaining sufficient space for an additional processing device, esp. one which can be attached to the central axis of the body in the horizontal direction. The first support spring (8) forms part of the vertical stiffening component. The second support spring (7) forms the resultant of the vertical residual stiffness component and the total horizontal stiffness component. The first support (8) is vertical and the second (7) at an angle (2) to the horizontal. One or both are offset so that their axes (12, 13) intersect off the bearing central axis.</p> |
