<p>A warp-knitted stringer tape for slide fasteners having two longitudinal edge regions, which are unstretchable in the transverse direction, and an intermediate region which extends between the latter regions and is stretchable in the transverse direction. The stringer tape has a knitted basic structure formed from fringe stitches and tricot stitches. In the stretchable intermediate region, the tricot stitches are formed from a multiplicity of elastic threads, for example stretch threads, whereas the fringe stitches are formed from numerous non-stretchable threads, for example multifilament threads. At least one elastic weft thread is inserted in the knitted basic structure in the stretchable intermediate region.</p> |
