PURPOSE:To obtain a dentifrice composition capable of being blended with a polyphosphate stably and in high concentration and effectively controlling formation of dental calculus, containing particles containing magnesium aluminate metasilicate and a polyphosphate as essential components. CONSTITUTION:Magnesium aluminate metasilicate and a polyphosphate are separately mixed with purified water and slurried in containers, respectively. Then the two slurries are uniformly blended and spray-dried to give particles having such a strength as not to be collapsed by stirring shear during production of dentifrice composition and to be collapsed by a toothbrush during brushing. The particles are added to a dentifrice composition. Stability of polyphosphate is extremely raised and change of suppressing effects on dental calculus with time is drastically lessened. |
