An eye (10) encloses a ring (11) and a shim (17) which are both made of rigid plastic and can be joined together, so that they can be inserted into a textile product or a planar material (26). The ring (11) has a cylinder (12), which has a securing flange (14), which projects radially outwards, at one end and an annular groove (16) alongside the securing flange. The shim (17) has an annular rib (18) and numerous locking tongues (19), which project radially inwards from the annular rib (18). When the ring (11) and the shim (17) are joined together in a coaxial manner, in such a way that they accommodate the textile product or the planar material (26) between them, the locking tongues (19) slide across the securing flange (14) and are locked in the annular groove (16). The shim (17) is now fastened on the cylinder (12) by means of the securing flange (14) and secured against removal. <IMAGE> |
