<p>The lining in a delivery hopper prevents escape of air containing dust. The system is used for suppressing build-up of dust when operating bucket-wheel pneumatic backfilling machines in a mine, esp. machines used for blowing anhydrite or similar fine material into a blower duct. With one or more bucket wheels interposed, the blown air duct is supplied with powered material via multiple delivery hoppers, or a single one containing compartments which can be separately filled and closed. They can be filled via a shared conveyor with hoppers, conveyor, and if appropriate, a bunker combining to form a gastight sealed system. This permits continuous operation, with dust almost completely suppressed.</p> |
