摘要 A method for detecting an underground continuous long object (2) comprises the steps of producing an electrically conductive wire (1) which is formed by covering a flexible metallic core wire (17) with an external coating layer (18) made from a flexible and electrically conductive high-polymer organic material, of arranging this electrically conductive wire (1) under the ground along the underground continuous object (2) of feeding a high-frequency current to the electrically conductive wire (1), and of receiving the electromagnetic waves emitted therefrom for the purpose of detecting the position of the underground elongated object (2). Thus, electric current is led through the ground via the coating layer (18) of the wire (1) by applying a high-frequency current to the wire (1), thus rendering it possible for the position of the elongated objects (2) which are laid underground to be detected from the surface of the ground even in the case when the wire (1) is cut through. <IMAGE>
