PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection owing to a signal such as a chattering signal and to improve the accuracy of position control by inhibiting the fetching of a detecting signal while a carried object is stopped and right after it starts moving when moving quantity is detected for position control. CONSTITUTION:When the carried object 7 is moved by means of a control signal in a control part 4, moving quantity is detected by means of a code string a in a detecting means 10 and a reading means 2 to read the code string. The carried object 7 is controlled to stop in a prescribed position according to the detected signal. An inhibiting means 14 inhibits the reading means 2 from fetching the signal of the detecting means 10 while control is stopped and right after the carried object 7 starts to move. Thus an abnormal signal such as the chattering signal outputted from the detecting means 10 owing to mechanical vibration, etc., is completely removed, and a position is controlled using only an appropriate detecting signal. |
