PURPOSE:To mass-produce a magnetic pickup with fine structure precisely by forming a magnetic body, a coil, a conductor, etc., successively on a substrate, made of a nonconductive, nonmagnetic hard material, by thin-film forming technique. CONSTITUTION:Over a base material 51 made of a nonmagnetic, nonconductive hard material, a magnetic layer 52 is formed in desired pattern and after a recess part is charged with a nonmagnetic, nonconductive substance 54 and the surface is smoothed, a nonmagnetic, nonconductive substance layer 55 is provided over it. In the layer 55, a spiral groove 57 is made and a conductive substance (e.g. copper) 58 is sputtered corresponding to the depth of the groove 57 to form a coil, on which a nonmagnetic, nonconductive substance layer 59 is formed. Then, a hole 61 is made extending to the magnetic body 52 and a magnetic body 63 is formed; after the unnecessary magnetic body 63 is removed, a protective material 64 is applied and cured to form a magnetic pickup. |
