PURPOSE:To perform stable reproduction in great quantities with constant quality by coating the surface of a sheet of thermoplastic resin with resin, by press-contacting a stamper after sticking impalpable powder of diamond on the surface, and by carrying out a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:On a sheet 1 of thermoplastic resin such as poly(vinyl chloride), another thermosetting resin, such as alkyd resin, is applied by spraying, etc., to form a film 2. After the application, it is left at the room temperature for a certain time to volatilize a volatile solvent, forming a thin viscous film. Impalpable powder of diamond 3 is sprinkled and then after part of it which is not in contact with the thermosetting resin is shaken off, the processes of pressurizing, heating and cooling are carried out to form polished grooves 4 in a desired shape. Thus, pictures of invariably stable quality are obtained through the reproduction of a high-density information carrier by a scanning stylus. |
