发明名称 PREPARATION OF RESIN HAVING HIGH REFRACTIVE INDEX AND IMPROVED MOLDABILITY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin having good surface conditions, improved impact resistance and transparency, by adding the third monomer capable of reducing the copolymerization rate to a copolymerization system of a specific di(meth)acrylate with a specific monomer. CONSTITUTION:In copolymerizing (A) the first monomer of a di(meth)acrylate having an aromatic ring, e.g. 2,2-bis(4-methacryloxyethoxy-phenyl)propane, with (B) the second radically copolymerizable monomer havng an aromatic ring, e.g. chlorostyrene, and (C) the third copolymerizable monomer capable of reducing the copolymerization rate of the monomers, e.g. alpha-methylstyrene, is added to the polymerization system. Preferably, the second and the third monomers give a refractive index >=1.55 of the homopolymer thereof. The amount of the third monomer is preferably 0.5-8pts.wt. based on the first and the second monomers. USE:An optical lens, etc.
