PURPOSE:To increase the look-up response speed of a controller on the average by changing items in a table of article names and unit prices of a transcation terminal according to the frequency of use. CONSTITUTION:At a transaction terminal, the number of an article is inputted from a keyboard 11 to a searching circuit 12 to search a main table 14 first and an identical article name, when found, is printed out on a slip, etc., to send a coincidence signal to the searching circuit 12, which operates a +1 adding circuit 13, thereby setting a flag 1 to the identical article number. When the identical article number is not found, the searching circuit 12 looks up a corresponding unit price in the file 2 of a controller 1 and, while printing the unit price of the article number, registers the article number and unit price in a subtable 17. Then, items with flag 0s in the main table are searched to substitute the contents of the subtable 17 by exchanging circuit 18 through back-ground processing. |
