<p>PURPOSE:To redude the stationary space of fermentation treatment and to save energy, by separating an upright fermentation column into many divided chambers lining from the top to the bottom successively by dividing plates of downgrade, followed by carrying out fermentation treatment while a raw material being sent through these divided chambers. CONSTITUTION:A raw material for fermentation is fed from the feed opening 10 of the fermentation column 1 to the column. In the fermentation treatment of the raw material, a microorganism attached to the raw material is used or a microorganism is inoculated into it. The fed raw material is subjected to fermentation treatment while being sent through the divided chambers 3 successively by the dividing plates 2 and 2' arranged in downgrade because of the viscosity of the raw material, it is adjusted thermally, the taken out from the outlet 11. While gases evolved in a period from the middle of the fermentation to the heat adjustment are collected in the reservoir spaces 13 of the divided chambers 3, sent to the outside by the vent pipes 14, and fed for their uses.</p> |
