<p>A hinge wherein a base (1) to a piece of furniture by fixing to which a pivotable member (11) attached to a door (52) is joined so that the pivotable member (11) can be turned so as to be opened and closed, is fixed to a mounting member (31) attached to a body (51) of a furniture. A rear screw (41) engaged with the mounting member (31) is inserted into and engaged with a recess (5) in an upper wall (2) of the base (1) with the head (45) of the rear screw (41) positioned above the recess (5) as the base (1) is moved slidingly from the front side on the mounting member (31) so as to be fitted thereon, and the head (46) of a front screw (42) which is engaged with the mounting member (31) is opposed to an opening (6) in the upper wall (2) of the base (1) from the lower side thereof so as to be engaged at least from the upper side with locking members (9) on the base (1). The mounting member (31) is made longitudinally symmetric, so that the base (1) can be secured to the mounting member (31) in two directions.</p> |
