PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head adequate for a magnetic recording medium with high coercive force by forming a core part, constituting a magnetic gap, by joining magnetic materials with high saturated magnetic flux density, and then by making the faying surface cross the butt surface of the magnetic gap slantingly. CONSTITUTION:A ferrite block worked in a roof shape with a succession of triangles above the winding window (w) of a head core is used, and to the roof-shaped part, a magnetic alloy (e.g. sendust) (m) is adhered. Then, the peak part of the roof-shaped magnetic alloy (m) is polished to form a butt surface (p) of a head gap, and a silicon oxide film (g) having about 0.2-0.5mum thickness is provided on the surface (p), thus forming a compound magnetic block F1. A compound magnetic block F2 similar with the block F1 except that the winding window (w) is provided, and said block F1 are butted mutually at the surface (p), and joined together by melt-sticking at a back gap B before cutting along the dotted lines. A coil (c) is wound by passing through the winding window (w) of the obtained individual compound magnetic head F to obtain a magnetic head. |
