The boiler furnace for burning straw, wood, etc. has a horizontal combustion chamber with a double wall (1a,b) forming a space (1c) for circulating water. One end has a double wall (4) and the other end has a double-wall door (5), both with a space for air circulation. The cylindrical vessel (1) forming the combustion chamber is mounted on a base (2) containing a horizontal nest of tubes, through which water is circulated. Combustion air is blown into the upper chamber, and combustion gases are extracted downwards through an outlet (14) passing between the tubes. Combustion air is blown by a fan (11) through a horizontal distributor tube (9) carried by cross-bars, and additional air enters through openings (12) at top and bottom of the door and end wall. The hot combustion gases are drawn down through the vertical outlet tube, then horizontally through an extension tube (25) under the nest of tubes by an extraction fan (26).
